ETH Gastaccount



Brief description

Those who are active at VSETH but not enrolled at ETH need an ETH guest account. With an ETH guest account you can use our IT services such as a VSETH mailbox, access to shared mailboxes, wiki and many more. It is intended to facilitate communication and association work in general!

Since summer 2024, the process is no longer the responsibility of the ISG VSETH. The new process is documented in the Active Wiki.

Important: For a new guest account to appear in group manger, the person must have logged in to one of our applications for the first time. (e.g. https://account.vseth.ethz.ch) For data protection reasons, we are only allowed to automatically access personal data of VSETH members at ETH.

The holder of the guest account must log in once on any application of the VSETH infrastructure. (e.g.: https://account.vseth.ethz.ch) Only the accounts of VSETH members are automatically loaded in group manager.

Customer benefits

With the ETH guest account, IT services such as a VSETH mailbox, access to shared mailboxes, Wiki etc... can be used. This facilitates communication and association work in general.


Customer groups and pricing

The ETH guest account is free of charge for all VSETH bodies, commissions and student associations.

Support

The basis for the support process is the general VSETH support process according to the User Documentation: Support Process. This means in particular that all support requests are managed via the ticketing system OTRs. Questions and problems may always be reported to vseth-it-support@ethz.ch. VSETH's IT support group will then deal with them in accordance with its response times for queries (SLAs).
